Morocco Foils International Drug Trafficking Operation, Over 1 Ton of Cannabis Resin Seized
Rabat – Policemen in Larache foiled on Monday evening an international drug trafficking operation and seized 1.2 ton of cannabis resin, National Police (DGSN) said in a statement.
Policemen have located a car in a forest near the “Ocean” district in the northern city of Larache, suspected of carrying a quantity of cannabis resin intended to be smuggled through the sea, the source pointed out, adding that the driver of this vehicle had intentionally abandoned the banned substance.
Investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office in order to identify all the people involved in this criminal activity.
