Head of Govt. Welcomes Efforts for Preparation of Regional Examination of 1st Year of Baccalaureate

Rabat – Head of Government Saad Dine El Otmani welcomed, on Thursday, the efforts made by all educational, pedagogical and administrative staff, the territorial administration, the security authorities, and the health and youth and sports sectors, in cooperation with the various stakeholders, for the preparation of the regional examination of the 1st year of the baccalaureate in exceptional circumstances caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In his speech at the opening of the cabinet meeting, El Otmani lauded the success achieved in facing the challenges posed by this circumstance, in particular the salvage of the past school year and the resumption of the current school year with seriousness and determination, to ensure that education is at the desired level, said Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Government Spokesperson Saaid Amzazi, in a press release read at a press briefing at the end of this meeting which coincides with the start of the regional examination of the 1st year of the baccalaureate.

The Head of Government explained that the difficulties linked to the spread of the virus and the increase in contaminations and critical cases in certain cities have required the implementation of preventive measures in all establishments in order to preserve the health of students, educational and administrative staff and their families.

In this context, El Otmani recalled the other ministerial departments which supervise educational or training establishments, citing in particular the Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs which is making huge efforts to adapt itself to this difficult period marked by the coronavirus pandemic.

The official also lauded all front line workers who are working under continuous pressure and face great difficulties in fulfilling their commitments far from their families and sometimes without benefiting from annual vacations.
